On Monday, the Stoughton High volleyball team defeated visiting Milford, 3 sets to 1.

Starring for Stoughton against Milford were Lauren Carmichael with 20 digs and 12 service points; Nicole Daniels with 12 kills, 4 blocks, and 17 service points; along with Kayla Motley who had 8 kills and 5 blocks. In addition, Emma Zuk contributed her usual steady game as setter with 16 assists and outstanding court leadership.

It marked Stoughton's second straight win, with the Black Knights also beating Oliver Ames last Friday (Sept. 28) at OA, 3 sets to 1.

Starring for Stoughton at OA were Daniels with 22 kills and 12 blocks; Motley with 18 service points, 4 blocks and 2 aces; and Ashley Medeiros with 10 service points, 10 digs, and 2 aces.

Stoughton's record now stands at 6-2 with the team's next match at Stoughton High, Wednesday against an undefeated Canton squad.
