July saw a number of serious and even fatal accidents on this stretch of Route 24, but luckily there were no injuries in either accident Saturday night.
Fire departments received calls for both accidents at 8:03 p.m. Both accidents took place between exits 19 and 20 on the northbound side, about 3/4 of a mile apart from one another.
The Stoughton Fire Department responded to a single car rollover in Stoughton, adjacent to Boston Interiors, just shy of exit 20.
SFD Captain Doug Campbell said a private ambulance company was already on scene when the Stoughton FD arrived. The occupant of the vehicle was not injured and refused patient care, he said.
Meanwhile, the Avon Fire Department handled a two-car accident on the Avon/Stoughton line, adjacent to IKEA, just past exit 19. The accident was a "fender bender," resulting in no injuries. No one was transported, Avon Fire Captain Rob Mottau said.
