Rewind: Stoughton Digs Out From Post Christmas Blizzard
Revisiting last year’s post Christmas snowstorm, which hit Stoughton with upwards of 18 inches of snow.
Stoughton received minimal snow during a rare pre Halloween snowstorm, but there hasn’t been any snow since and there’s no snow in site for the final week of 2011.
But at this time last year, Stoughton was digging out from the first of several snowstorms that hit town early last winter, which kept the town blanketed until early March.
The 2010 post Christmas snowstorm hit on Sunday morning, Dec. 26, 2010. It snowed pretty much uninterrupted until midday on Monday, Dec. 27, with the brunt of the storm hitting Stoughton in the overnight hours Sunday into Monday.
Stoughton saw upwards of 18 inches of snow in that storm. High winds complicated cleanup efforts.
