UPDATE: Teen Injured in Saturday Evening Hit-and-Run in Stoughton

The Stoughton Fire Department transported a 15-year-old male to Boston Medical Center after he was hit by a car while riding his bike on Park St. in Stoughton. The car fled the scene.

A 15-year-old male was transported to Boston Medical Center Saturday evening after he was hit by a motor vehicle while riding his bike on Park St. in Stoughton in what is an apparent hit-and-run, according to Lt. Buddy O'Neil of the Stoughton Fire Department.

O'Neil said the teen was riding his bike in the breakdown lane on Park St. (Route 27 South) when a car hit him and knocked him to the ground near the Chateau at 1165 Park St. at 7:45 p.m. on Dec. 8.

The car kept traveling towards Brockton.

Stoughton Police and Fire responded. A Medflight was unavailable due to the weather, O'Neil said, so the Stoughton Fire Department transported the victim to BMC via ambulance.

The teen sustained multi-system trauma, according to confirmed scanner reports. O'Neil said the victim was conscious, however, and that the injuries were not considered life-threatening.

O'Neil said the Stoughton Police are investigating the hit-and-run accident.

Hopefully he makes it but it sounds like he could possibly have bleeding in the brain if he was not wearing a helmet all we can do is hope for the best

Do we know the identity of the child hit? I am wondering because my son is that age and wondering if he knows him. I am so glad to hear he's doing okay. It must have been so scary for him and his friends who witnessed it.
