Police Station, Library Give Stoughton Residents Without Power a Place to Plug in
Both facilities are giving residents a place to charge their cell phones and laptop computers as they wait for their power to be restored.
In an effort to help the thousands of residents in Stoughton still without power after Sunday’s tropical storm, Police Chief Paul Shastany said he was making the Community Room in the Stoughton Police Station available for those looking to recharge their laptops or cell phones.
He said the police department would be making power strips available in the Community Room.
The Community Room will be available for use 24 hours a day, Shastany said.
The Stoughton Public Library is also offering residents a place to recharge their laptops and cell phones and get internet access as the town deals with these mass-power outages.

It is great to see the various town departments stepping up to the plate for its residents. Not only are they going to bat behind the scenes with Beacon Hill, they are offering as many practical solutions as well. As someone who has been sitting in my car at night charging my phone I greatly appreciate it. Maybe I may actually get my column out for the Stoughton and Easton patch sites:)
