The Black Knights varsity football team took on Franklin Friday night as the Stoughton High community gathered for the 41st annual Homecoming celebration.

Unfortunately, it was Franklin High football team doing much of the celebrating. The Panthers took advantage of two Stoughton fumbles (and also came up with an interception and forced a turnover on downs) handing the Black Knights a 28-7 loss, dropping Stoughton’s record to 4-4.

Off the field, Matthew Moore and Shreeya Katiwada were named the 2011 Homecoming King and Queen, respectively, during a halftime ceremony.

The Homecoming Court was made up of a group of 16 well-rounded students (13 of whom were present for the ceremony). These seniors were recognized for their works as scholars, athletes and volunteers.

The Court included: Felicia Baptista, Katherine Chlus, Mackenzie Hudson, Shreeya Katiwada, Malykah Lopes, Julia Quattrucci, Jasmine Scott, Danisha Dumornay Gabe Garcia, Joseph Ialuna, Anthony Jeudy, Matthew Moore, Andrew Paredes, Jeremy Lim, Stephen Colling and Kevin Roopcharan.

The Stoughton High marching band also performed, and the SHS cheerleaders were on hand. After the game, students gathered for a Homecoming Dance in the gymnasium.

Take a look at the photo gallery above for pictures from Homecoming—the Court, the band, the cheerleaders, the fans and the dance.
