Multi-Car Crash on Route 24 in Stoughton Causes Multiple Injuries

Five people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Route 24 north in Stoughton on Friday, Feb. 1.

A crash including multiple vehicles on Route 24 northbound near Route 139 in Stoughton shortly before noon on Friday caused a "number of injuries," according to the Massachusetts State Police twitter account.

Acting Deputy Fire Chief Greg Goldberg of the Stoughton Fire Department said the crash involved five vehicles and took place in the high speed lane just past the Route 139 interchange, on the Stoughton/Canton line.

Three patients from one vehicle and two patients from another vehicle were transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with minor injuries, Goldberg said.

The Stoughton Fire Department and the Massachusetts State Police were both on scene.

The crash caused significant traffic delays at the time, with only one lane open in the northbound direction, but all lanes have since reopened on the highway, the State Police tweeted.
