Kerman's Two Goals Help Stoughton High Field Hockey Earn Tie at Pembroke
The Stoughton High field hockey team is 0-1-1 heading into its home-opener Monday against Franklin.
The Stoughton High varsity field hockey team opened its season Friday and Saturday with a loss and a tie.
The Black Knights lost 2-0 at Attleboro on Friday. Freshman Kara Ploss played well in her first varsity start in goal, while Megan Flaherty had a strong game at back, coach Dan Mark said.
Stoughton was back in action the next day, traveling to Pembroke on Saturday. The two teams played to a 3-3 tie.
Senior captain Nicole Kerman lead the offense with two goals, while Emma Sinkus scored her first varsity goal.
Meanwhile, the junior varsity field hockey team tied Pembroke, 1-1. Courtney Campbell scored the Stoughton goal.
The varsity and JV field hockey squads have their home openers Monday, September 10 against Franklin.
