Great Escape: Seafood, Karaoke and Live Entertainment

The Last Shot in Stoughton and Fresh Catch in North Easton are featured "escapes" this week.

Parents: Between work, kids and all the other commitments you’ve got going on, it can be tough to take some time for yourself. But for those evenings or weekend afternoons when the kids are at basketball practice, spending the day with friends or staying with the grandparents, we’re here to help.

Each week, Patch will tell you about a great idea to give you a well deserved break—whether it’s a fun night out, a wine-tasting or a quiet way to spend an hour.

Here’s what we have for today:

* Looking for a place to hang out with friends or co-workers after a long day at the office? Try the Last Shot Sports Bar and Grill at 559 Washington Street in Stoughton.

Every Tuesday in March is trivia with local DJ Gary Titus (starts at 8 p.m.); every Wednesday in March is "Karaoke Night"; and on every Thursday in March enjoy some acoustic entertainment.

This Friday, March 25, join the Last Shot for their 2nd Jersey Shore Party. Show off your spray tan while watching the "Situation," Pauly D, Snooki and co.

* Looking for a perfect choice for date night? Enjoy some seafood and entertainment at Fresh Catch at 285 Washington Street in North Easton.

Dinner specials include backed haddock florentine, grilled fliet ala lobster and honey soy baked salmon. Every Friday and Saturday, you can order slow-roasted prime rib (14, 20 or 24 ounce cuts) at dinner. Or order from their extensive sushi menu.

This Friday, March 25, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Silk Road, a classic rock band, will be performing live.
