In a back and forth meet, Sharon edged the Stoughton High wrestling team by a score of 43-32 Jan. 3 at the Sharon High gym.

Stoughton got off to a quick start with Brett Layton (106), Devlin Carroll (113) and Brandon Layton (120) all winning their respective matches, giving Stoughton an early 15-0 lead.

Sharon then took the next four matches, taking a 19-15 lead.

Stoughton took two out of the three matches which followed, with Rob Mone (152) and Nick Michienzi (170) picking up wins to give Stoughton a 26-25 lead.

But, Sharon took the next three matches to clinch the win, however Bryan Nguyen finished strong for the Black Knights, winning the heavyweight match, the final match of the evening.
