As athletes from around the world competed in London for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, the Stoughton Recreation Department's Open Playground Camp held an opening ceremony for its version of the Olympics, this past Monday, July 30.

The camp, located at the South Elementary School, kicked off its fifth week with the ceremony, followed by a week full of Olympic activities.

Counselors marched in as the Olympic theme song played, waving American Flags, holding signs and carrying the Olympic torch as campers cheered them on.
