About 20 different professionals in fields ranging from public safety to politics to law to journalism to teaching to the arts to health to event planning spoke to eighth graders at the O'Donnell Middle School on June 7 as part of the school's 7th Annual Career Day.

Presenters spoke about their education and job requirements, what interests them about their respective field and their daily responsibilities.

Students had the chance to attend three different presentations over the course of the event.

Take a look at the photo gallery for highlights of the event (photos courtesy OMS teacher Kathleen Wasik).

Editor's Note: As Stoughton Patch editor, I had the pleasure of speaking with students about the world of online community journalism.
