Friday, August 17 is Last Day to Register to Vote in Massachusetts State Primary Election
The Stoughton Town Clerk's Office (first floor of Town Hall) will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, August 17 for voter registration. The state primary will be held September 6.
Stoughton Town Clerk Cheryl Mooney reminds Stoughton residents that Friday, August 17 is the last day for voter registration for the September 6 state primary election.
The Town Clerk's Office (first floor of Town Hall) will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, August 17 for voter registration.
Usually the office is open on the last day of voter registration until 8 p.m., but under Section 51 of Chapter 239 of the Acts of 2012, the State has changed the registration session until 5 p.m. (instead of 8 p.m.) due to the fact that most town halls are closed or are only open until noon on Fridays, Mooney said.
The general election (which will include the presidential contest) will be held Tuesday, November 6. The last day to register to vote in the general election is Wednesday, October 17.
The following candidates for offices representing Stoughton will be running in the September primary election, according to the Secretary of State's website (the presidential primaries were already held this past March).

Your vote matters. I am a Republican and I think that Joe Selvaggi is one of the best candidates that I have seen out of this commonwealth in years. Please get out and VOTE!
