Footloose Star Helps Promote Malcolm & Parsons Food Drive

The Stoughton Insurance Agency will match any non-perishable food donations dropped off at their downtown office in January and February. All proceeds will go to the Stoughton food pantries.

Motivated by the desire that “no family should ever go to bed hungry,” Malcolm & Parsons Insurance Agency in Stoughton is looking to assist those in need of food.

Drop off any canned goods or non-perishable items at the insurance agency’s downtown Stoughton office (770 Washington St.) during the months of January and February and Malcolm & Parsons will match the donation.

All proceeds will go directly to the Stoughton food pantries.

“At Malcolm & Parsons Insurance we’re aware of the hunger problems within our community. We would like to encourage our clients and other Stoughton businesses to help get food to families in need,” the company said in an email.

The drive started in December and drew the attention of one well-known Stoughton native. Footloose star stopped by the Malcolm & Parsons office in December to help promote the drive (see photo in media gallery).

“In keeping with the spirit of giving, we’re committed to never have a child or adult go to bed hungry,” the company said in an email. “Let’s all show our Stoughton Pride and make sure that doesn’t happen in our community.”
