Best Of: Patch Readers Pick Maxie’s as Best Place to Celebrate Mother’s Day in Stoughton

Maxie’s is the winner of this week’s “Best Of” poll.

After a week of voting, Patch readers have selected Maxie’s as the best place to celebrate Mother’s Day in Stoughton.

Serving Mother’s Day breakfast and brunch at Maxie’s is a tradition that is 20 years strong, owner Steve Robbins said.

Robbins said he will see mothers, grandmothers and great-grandmothers enjoying a meal with their families at his restaurant on the holiday.

“I fell very proud to serve them,” he said. “It’s been a tradition of ours for years.”

This poll continued a “Best Of” series that allows readers to vote for their favorite businesses and places in Stoughton.

And, after coming in second in both the best sandwich poll and best place to have breakfast poll, Maxie’s broke through and finished first this week.

Maxie’s, located in Cobb’s Corner (117 Sharon St.) finished with 47 percent of the vote (64 of 135 votes).

While readers ultimately went with a breakfast/brunch/lunch destination, the second and third place restaurants represent popular destinations for a Mother’s Day dinner.

The Chateau on Park St. came in second with 20 percent of the vote and LaStoria on Washington St. came in third with 14 percent with the vote.

The poll opened Monday morning and closed Friday morning.

Take a look at the full results here: Best Place to Celebrate Mother’s Day in Stoughton. For next week’s poll, we’ll be asking what your favorite “staycation” destinations are in Stoughton.

The winner for each “Best Of” category will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, (positive) comments on this article, and reviews on Patch Places.
