Best Of: Patch Readers Pick Cedar Hill Golf Course as Best Outdoor Destination in Stoughton

Cedar Hill Golf Course is the winner of this week's "Best Of" poll.

After a week of voting, Stoughton Patch readers have indicated their favorite outdoor destination in town includes a day hitting the links.

Cedar Hill Golf Course, a town-owned club, was the top choice in this week's poll, which asked readers to select their favorite outdoor destination in Stoughton.

This poll continued a “Best Of” series that allows readers to vote for their favorite businesses and places in Stoughton.

Cedar Hill, located on Park St., finished in first with 40 percent of the vote.

Ames Pond came in second with 20 percent of the vote.

The Ames Pond area of town on West St. proved to be a popular area as Ames Pond, the Bird Street Conservation Area and the Lessa Playground combined for 40 percent of the vote.

The remaining 20 percent of the vote went to Glen Echo, the Children's Adventure Playspace Project (CAPP) and Halloran Park.

The poll opened Monday morning and closed Friday morning. Take a look at the full results here: Best Outdoor 'Staycation' Destination in Stoughton.

Next week’s “Best Of” poll will ask: Where is the best place to go for ice cream in the Stoughton area?

Anyone who wants to kayak or canoe the wilder, north end of Ames Pond, should do it sooner, rather than later. The weeds will be filling in soon. You can put in at the Causeway, or the area right across from the small pumping station on West St. You can get access to the south side from the causeway or the beach.
