IMAGINE, JOHN LENNON COMING TO STOUGHTON: On Saturday, January 5, Dennis Stephen will bring his John Lennon tribute performance, LENNON SHOW back to The Last Shot Sports Bar & Grill in Stoughton. His last performance there was a smashing success (and he really does look and sound like Lennon in performance!)

Dennis Stephen is a veteran rock and pop music performer, guitarist, vocalist, and former Geffen Records recording artist.  Known for his work with the Boston-based bands Stardust and Stratosphere in the late-1970's and 80's, Stephen ventured out nationwide, and has opened for major recording artists, such as The Cars, Aerosmith, Dire Straits, J.Geils Band, Pretenders, and others.

In his unique, one-man tribute show, Dennis Stephen bears an uncanny resemblance to the legendary John Lennon, while singing and playing guitar in dozens of timeless Beatles' and Lennon hits.

Songs in "Lennon Show" include, "She Loves You," "Ticket to Ride," "Strawberry Fields Forever," "Revolution," as well as memorable songs from Lennon’s solo career such as "Imagine," "Woman," and "Stand by Me."

Stephen told About Town, "My goal is to accurately represent and replicate John Lennon’s contribution to every song as he did in live concerts, on TV shows, and in the original recordings we so fondly remember. I want the audience to feel that John Lennon is right in front of them, playing and singing their favorite songs just for them."

He added, "I grew up in listening to Beatles music. It was the soundtrack of my childhood. So channeling a music legend and genius such as John Lennon becomes a satisfying and enjoyable experience for me."

In order to recreate the classic sound and look of John Lennon and the Beatles,  Stephen performs in vintage Beatles attire, and other outfits reminiscent of Lennon as he appeared in his solo career.  Stephen also plays Rickenbacker 325 and Epiphone Casino guitars, made famous by John Lennon, and uses vintage Vox amplifiers to reproduce the classic Beatles sound.

Admission is free.  The show starts at 9 p.m. The Last Shot Sports Bar & Grill is located at 559 Washington Street (Route 138) in Stoughton.
