GIVE A PINT, GET A POUND: There's an American Red Cross Blood Drive taking place on Friday, January 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the New England Sinai Hospital & Rehabilitation Center

It will take place at the 150 York Street facility, in the Brenner Conference Room on the first floor. To make reservations to donate, call 1-800 RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit http://www.redcrossblood.org/

All presenting donors receive a coupon for a pound of Dunkin' Donuts coffee in honor of National Volunteer Blood Donor Month.

FARBER TO BE FEATURED: Stoughton's own Shirley Farber, editor and publisher of Shalom Magazine, will be featured speaker at Temple Israel in Sharon at a 10 a.m. brunch on February 12.

Farber, a journalist, reporter, publisher and educator, will tell her story about growing up in Brazil.  She will discuss the history of the Jews in Brazil, the present culture they live in, and what the future may hold for them. 

Temple Israel is located at 125 Pond Street in Sharon. Cost is $12 per person.  For more information, call 781-784-3986.

JOB SEARCH WORKSHOPS BEGIN IN JANUARY: Employment Specialist Gary Gekow returns in January to lead 5 Job Search Workshops at the Stoughton Public Library. Patrons may sign up for as many of these free, useful classes as they like.

WILD LIFE GALLERY EXHIBIT: There is still time to visit Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Wildlife Gallery exhibit “Natural Expressions and Indigenous Colors” featuring the work of Farnaz Mobayyen.

Experience the energetic, bold and passionate expressions that capture the soul and spirit of the world outside. The spontaneous and creative essence of her work is reflected in the brilliant and colorful paintings which will inspire your imagination and appreciation of nature.

Mobayyen has exhibited and won awards for her artwork throughout the Massachusetts and Michigan area.
