1. Interview Process to Pick Stoughton's Next Permanent Town Manager Underway
The search for Stoughton's next permanent Town Manager has hit the homestretch.
On Wednesday, September 12, the final group of seven candidates will be interviewed by three separate panels - the Town Manager Search Committee; Stoughton Department Heads; and a group representing consulting firm Municipal Resources, Inc. (MRI), which will include both an active and retired Town Manager from the area.
These interviews are scheduled from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. according to the town's website.
Following the Wednesday panel interviews, this group of candidates will then be narrowed down to three finalists. The Board of Selectmen will interview these three finalists on Thursday, September 13 starting at 7:30 p.m.
While the Wednesday panel interviews are not open to the public, the Thursday Board of Selectmen interviews will be conducted as part of an open meeting.
A decision on who will be the next Town Manager should come soon after the Board of Selectmen interviews.
