$100 Car Wash: Local Towing Company Gives Stoughton High Volleyball Team Big Tip
The Stoughton High volleyball team held a car wash fundraiser Saturday, August 11.
With the fall sports season right around the corner, the Stoughton High volleyball team held a fundraising car wash at the Walgreens parking lot in Stoughton this past Saturday, August 11, which got an added boost thanks to one generous donor.
While the team was asking for a $5 donation per car, one customer drove up with a large truck that specializes in heavy towing and recovery, and gave the team $100 to wash it.
The truck was from the Brockton-based Lynch's Towing and Recovery Services.
JV coach Corie Brookshire shared some photos of the team washing it (posted in the media gallery).
The SHS volleyball program is entering its 5th year. Last season the varsity team made the postseason tournament for the first time, finishing the regular season at 10-8.
This upcoming weekend, the Stoughton High varsity football team will be hosting a car wash on Saturday, August 18 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will also take place at the Stoughton Walgreens and will cost $5.
