School Department Responds to Ongoing Procurement Dispute

At their Tuesday, March 13 meeting, the Stoughton School Committee voted unanimously (5-0) to release a response to the ongoing procurement dispute between the municipal side of government and the school department.

The following documents were sent by the school department to various media outlets, including Stoughton Patch. These documents are posted in the media gallery.

One doucment offers a timeline of procurement related disputes. The other is an annotated response to a memo issued by the town's Acting Procurement Officer, Lindsay Pope.

In the last line of their letter to the Selectmen, the School Commitee refers to the school department. End of discussion ,the schools are part of the town of Stoughton, no different from the SFD or SPD or the DPW, they are a department and subject to the same rules as the other department of the Town of Stoughton.
