State law requires all dogs to be licensed by May 1. In Stoughton, the dog licenses expire Dec. 31. and there is a four-month grace period from January-April. The dog registration fees are male/female $15, and spayed/neutered $10. Owners not license their dogs by June 1 area subjected to an additional $25. If you have a new dog, bring adoption papers and new rabies certificate. Dogs must be licensed with the town within 60 days of adoption.
