Canton Fall Classic Road Race

The Canton Fall Classic road race will celebrate its 24th year on Sunday, October 28, offering more than $2400 in cash and merchandise prizes.  Registration is now underway for the Fall Classic’s 10K and 5K competitive distances, and for the 1 Mile Fun Run.  The race begins at 10:00 am (Fun Run at 9:45am), Temple Beth Abraham, 1301 Washington St., Canton.

Hundreds of runners, spectators, and volunteers from the South Shore communities enjoy the annual event, widely regarded as one of the most scenic and challenging races in the area. The races are wheel-measured with split times and ample water stations.  Refreshments, entertainment and award ceremonies conclude the race. Long sleeved dri-tech t-shirts are guaranteed for entries received before October 15. All pre-entrants will be entered in a raffle that will be drawnwhile the race is in progress.

Special cash bonus prizes will be awarded for new course
records, with $500 going to the racer who sets a new 10K record (21 years old!) which stands at 30:12, $100 for a new women’s 10K record and $50 for a new 5K
record.   Merchandise prizes will be awarded to the top
age group finishers and there is a small cash purse for overall winners and course records. The 10K and 5K races will include seven age divisions – Under 18,
Open (18 –29), Submaster (30 –39), Master (40 – 49), Senior (50 – 59) and
Veteran (60+) and Super Vet (70+).

Registration is open.  Registration for the 10K and 5K races is $25; Fun Run registration is
only $10.
